Role: Test Consultant

The test consultant is a specialist in being a test method expert. He focuses exclusively on consulting work in relation to the aspects of testing. He provides method-oriented support for the test process in the broadest sense of the word. The test consultant supports all test activities and all members of the test team. I.e., both the test manager or test coordinator in e.g. strategy determination and the tester in specifying test cases. This function may be active throughout the TMap life cycle.

Required knowledge and competencies

Test-specific

Expert experience in the implementation of the TMap life cycle model and techniques
Knowledge in improving test processes
Extensive knowledge about the deployment of test tools.

Automation

Comprehensive automation knowledge and experience
Expert knowledge and experience in system design and realisation
Knowledge of architectures and tools for system development
General knowledge of hardware, software and data communication.

General

Knowledge of the domain and the line organisation
The ability to learn using (test) tools quickly
Knowledge of project organisation and a project-based work approach
Creative, accurate and able to work on a strictly methodical basis
Good contact skills and a motivating personality
Good written and spoken communication skills.
